  • Mini Cooper Now Expanding Dealerships At the same time that many auto manufacturers are shrinking their U.S. based dealerships, Mini Cooper has announced that they are expanding -- by 20%.   Jim McDowell, Mini USA Vice President, made the announcement today saying that his group would add 17 additional dealerships over the next year and a half.  Here is a list of the cities: Birmingham, Alabama; Pensacola, Florida; Alexandria, Virginia; Austin, Texas; Seattle, Washington; Fort Myers, Florida; El Paso, Texas; Ontario, California; Louisville, Kentucky; Raleigh, North Carolina; Knoxville, Tennessee; Loveland, Colorado; Madison, Wisconsin; Mount Laurel, New Jersey; Allentown,...   • We ran across the following item in the Salt Lake Tribune and thought it would be worth a mention.  The Tribune runs a "Pet of the Week" as many papers do, in concert with a local animal shelter that is loooking to place cats, dogs and more with a good owner.  All fine and well.

    2009 MINI Cooper S Convertible Review

    Like I mentioned on a previous post, Autoblog has a nice review of the 2009 MINI Cooper S Convertible.  Here are the quick highlights and then the review itself is worth a read.  Beyond the text, you can see MINI Product manager Vincent Kung walking through the car in detail.

    Here are the highlights of the review from our point of view:
